What Causes Nausea, Vomiting And Pain In Vagina After Taking Sysron-N?
Question: Hi,
My first day of the last period was 11th March .I had unprotected sex on 2nd April. After that I visited the gynecologist on 28th April and got to know that my hcg is 31.6 to which my doctor said that it's an early pregnancy. Also she has give me sysron-n and told me that chances of period are negligible though if I get my period I'll have to see her the same day. She has called me on 7th may for a sonography to which she'll prescribe medicines to terminate the pregnancy. I am experiencing nausea,vommitting and lot of pain above the vagina. And also I am eating more food than I usually do.
1) how many weeks of pregnant I am.
2) isn't 7th may too late to start with the abortion pills.if yes,please let me know
3) will this cause complications while having a baby later on.
4) do I need to worry about this termination and how will it affect my health

Hello mam, I understand your anxiety related to the issue.
If at all the sexual activity on2nd April resulted in pregnancy then you are around 6 weeks pregnant and medical abortion is safe till 7 weeks that is why your gynecologist has called you on 7 may.
Take sysron as advised and after stopping it you will get periods in 3-5 days and can visit your doctor accordingly.
Medical abortion is usually safe and only in some cases there arises need of surgical evacuation of uterus after pills due to incomplete abortion.
It has no long term side effects on reproductive health but you should refrain from unprotected sexual activity in future because repeated abortions can definitely cause problems in conception in later life.
Don't be anxious as it will be fine soon but definitely during the process of abortion there occurs excessive pain and at times nausea and vomiting also.
So ask your doctor to give you additional drugs to deal with pain and nausea (in case occurs).

These are symptoms of pregnancy only but in some patients sysron can also cause similar symptom profile so cannot really differentiate between the two.
For nausea take tablet domperidone in case it gets worse and for pain take tablet drotavarine whenever required.

No sysron has no long term effect on the health and thus nothing to worry.
Pregnancy can be managed easily even if detected on 11th may but it will be better if you visit her on 7th may as previously scheduled.
Or you can get an ultrasound scan on 7th may and see for gestation and in case less than 7 weeks then wait till 11th and visit her as she asked you.

now this is really worrisome. as i had asked my gynecologist already if I should come on 7th may as 11th may would be too late.
but she assured me that since she already got a sonography done on 30th april I do not need to come on the 7th may. she will check where in the uterus the pregnancy is and prescribe pills for abortion. doctor please advice

You can do one thing now, just repeat a urine pregnancy test and in case negative take sysron for withdrawal of periods but in case positive then get a repeat ultrasound on 7th may and then we can discuss further management.
