Brief Answer:
Due to dehydration and electrolyte imbalance.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The muscle cramps- XXXXXXX horses in the groin area are likely to be related to the dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. You need to increase your fluid intake and start taking electrolyte rich fluids like fresh fruit juices and Garotade.
You can also get your serum electrolyte level;s evaluated and start with proper supplements accordingly.
In case the spasms persist then taking a muscle relaxant orally and doing a hot compress in the area will help.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
