Brief Answer:
Because it can cause anaemia.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns towards your friend.
I feel sorry for her rejection.
Menorrhagia at her age is usually occurs due to hormonal disturbances.
And as in her case she is diagnosed as a case of menorrhagia and on oral contraceptive pills and having iron deficiency anaemia( this indicate she bleeds alot),she was rejected.
Because to join any services ( like army and navy),your medical records should be clear and you should not suffer from any medical condition and not on any medication.
Hope found useful, feel free to ask more information.
Good luck.
Regards
