Question: I have a hard lump no pain nothing, under the skin in my labia minora. I did have a son 8 months ago.. I have constant yeast infections or BV. No new sex partners.. I have a husband. I have been tested for STI's while pregnant and all negative! I'm constant itchy burning in pain.. I think yeast or BLV but I'm worried of vulvar cancer..

Brief Answer:
UPLOAD PHOTO, GET VAGINAL SWAB DONE

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Can you upload a photograph of the lump that you have mentioned ?
That would enable me to provide you with a better diagnosis.
It could be a Bartholin's cyst , that is most likely.
Have you got a vaginal swab done ?
Self medication is the worst thing you can do.
A vaginal swab would confirm the diagnosis, as the treatment for yeast and BV vastly differs.
Please get it done.
Maintain strict perineal hygiene.
Avoid using soaps, gels, cleansers, douches or any products on your private parts.
Just clean profusely with lukewarm water, without rubbing, scrubbing or handling excessively, and XXXXXXX dry with a gentle towel.
Have protected sex till the issue is resolved.
Drink lots of water to avoid a concomitant urinary tract infection.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.

Brief Answer:
SMALL BOIL, NOTHING TO WORRY, WILL SUBSIDE

Detailed Answer:
Okay.
The pic is quite blurred.
I can see a small boil on the inside of the labia minora, probably that is the lump you feel.
It is a boil just like that occurring on any other part of the body, an infected sweat gland.
You just need to observe it.
Avoid handling, lancing, rubbing or touching it excessively.
Just clean the area well with water.
Avoid soaps, gels, cleansers or douches.
It should subside in a few days.
If it does not, antibiotics orally maybe needed.
You can apply local ( topical ) antibiotic ointment also.
There is nothing to worry.
Near the clitoral area, the picture is not clear, but I can see some folds which do not seem to be normal.
Hence I would appreciate a clearer picture or more photos.
Take care.

Its a very hard lump and when putting pressure on it it goes white but either than that it just feels like a little ball on the inside of the labia.. I have a very dry vagina at times which causes scratches and itch.. Ive used vagisil soap for at least 3 years. I think i will avoid using and see what type of result i get from not using. You can get boils on the labia minora?

Brief Answer:
DONT USE ANYTHING ON THE PRIVATE PARTS

Detailed Answer:
They are more common on the labia majora but can occur on the labia minora too.
AVoid using vagisil or any other products on the vagina and private parts.
Just use plain water, that is best.
Take care.
