default
Posted on Mon, 31 Aug 2015
Question: in the morning when I get up I urinate normal amount. Then I will start drinking water ,juice maybe 4or5 glasses . I waite to urinate again but can only go small amounts. I don't have the urge to urinate even thought i have drank a lot. . This causes a lot of axexiety . After only going small amounts a couple of time,But until I can go a normal s. then in late afternoon I can finally urinate normal amounts. I never know If I should keep drinking or just wait untill I get a real urge. I have gone to hospitial and had bladder scsns and they show only small amounts of urine in bladder. I have OCD and keep thinking I am having retention.. SAo I will try and force my self to urinate even though I don't have the urge . How long should I waite before trying to urinate.. IN the evening I will start goikng large amounts several time. My problem is I keep thinking something is wrong when I don't get the urge when I think I should . How can I tell if I have retention. I have no pain just a unconfortable feeling ,so i try to urinate and can go just a little . What is best to drink to make myself urinate so i don't panic thinking I have retention.

Brief Answer:
Your symptoms seem to be due to anxiety

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that all the symptoms that you have are due Chronic Anxiety disorder rather than any organic cause

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Since how long you have been taking Klonopin ?
2) Have you done urodynamic evaluation of your bladder ? to rule out detrusor (Bladder muscle ) instability ?

The symptoms that you have could be due to side effects of Klonopin .Please discuss your problem with your Psychiatrist to change the drug or modify the treatment for Anxiety Disorder .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
