Thanks for clarification and sorry for delayed response.
Low sex drive can occur due to antidepressant medicines like from SSRI group.

Back injury affecting lumbar spine may affect erection capacity and secondary loss of libido.

Considering age of 59 serum testosterone should also be checked as well there is need to rule out prostate problem.

Please answer following questions.

- Which antidepressant medicine are you taking and since when and what dose?

- What is timing of neck injury and occurrence of low sex drive? Is there any correlation?

- Do you have any problem in urinating?

- Is morning erection present?

- When did you do last successful intercourse?

- Also go for serum thyroid and testosterone level.

For a while to improve libido 5-PDE inhibitor of drug may help.

5- PDE inhibitor group of medicines includes sildenafil or tadalafil. It is proven drug for male erectile dysfunction and some reports of success in female also. One of them should be used 2 hours prior to sex. They cause headache, stuffy nose nausea and gastric discomfort like common side effects. Proper physical check-up of cardiac system should be done by a doctor before starting the same. These are prescription medicines and you need to consult doctor/psychiatrist/sexologist for the prescription.

Thanks for some information.

You are on bupropion 300 mg and Diazepam 5 mg (Diane pam 5 I guess) and these drugs cannot cause loss of libido.

Prednisolone 20 mg in general does not decrease libido. However it may affect other hormonal systems and affect testosterone level which in turn may affect sex drive.

Reduce sex drive can be one of the symptoms of depression itself. In that case as your depression will improve, your sex drive will also improve.

And considering your age it is better to go for testosterone level. If it is low supplement can be given.
