What Causes Loss Of Sensation And Burning Sensation Of Tongue?
Question: Hi Dr. XXXXXXX
Facing a problem from last 2 3 days which doesn't seems like leaving me alone. From few days i have lost the taste of my mouth. Even the sweetest sweet taste like there is no sugar in it. I believe I am facing with ulcers but i am not sure. There is a burning sensation on my whole tongue. And it burns more while eating or even drinking water.
Can you please suggest me some medicine to get rid of this. Last night i used a gel called ulsore, applied it over my tongue couple of times but haven't yet received much relief.
I have heard of a medicine named becosules which can be used for ulcers but i am not sure about it. Also, right know i am on a medication suggested by an orthopedic surgeon which i am taking due to a small cramp which I got into my shoulder in Gym. The medicines I am taking right now for this are Phlogam and Etova-MR.
I request you to please suggest me with some treatment for my ulcers problem which I can do alongwith my current medications.

The cause for loss of sensation and burning over tongue are many.
I suggest you to consult a physican . The reason is to get confirmed that you have mouth ulcers and the severity and the cause. The treatment depends on severity of ulcers and cause . Yours appear more severe because it didn't got relieved by ulsore.
Pain killer like etova MR you are taking also cause mouth ulcers.
Till then I suggest you to start using zytee ointment(benzalkonium chloride) which may be available over the counter. Apply 3 to 5 times daily. Start becosules twice a day after food, morning and night. This is a multivitamin combination used for mouth ulcers because sometimes mouth ulcers are caused due to vitamin deficiency. After 15 days you may take only once a day for 15 days more and you may stop if you are on a healthy diet.

Thanks for quick reply. Just one question. Is it fine if I take becosules alongwith my current medicines ? Or i need to stop it for taking becousles. My concern is just to be safe of any side effects.
