Question: Yes, I got a flu and pneumonia shot at the same time, 2 weeks ago, and have been sick since then. I think I have pneumonia. What can I do at home to feel better? I do not have an appetite, am extremely tired, bad cough, and blow my nose constantly. I have never felt so bad.

Brief Answer:
Detailed ent examination, x-ray chest.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. The symptoms reported seem concerning and I will recommend that you see a doctor and get evaluated. With such presentation, I would perform ENT examination to rule out sinusitis (blowing of nose constantly), blood tests (infection), X-ray chest (status of lung for tuberculosis, unresolved penumonia). I will recommend you see a nearby ENT surgeon. He/she will know about the evaluation (investigations).

In the interim you can try steam inhalation 3-5 times a day along with an improved / nutritious diet. Adequate rest will also help in speedy recovery.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
