Brief Answer:
I think you may need to go to the emergency room

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and I hope I can help you today. I reviewed your previous question as well so I could get as much background as possible. I can answer your question more effectively if I could just get a little more information about your symptoms.

I see that you've had issues with pain on your right side for some time, and that you had a laparoscopy in the past.... Did you get a diagnosis? Also you mentioned that you thought you were pregnant but did you do a pregnancy test or the result. Also if you could provide the date of your last period would be helpful as well.

Without any clearer information, I would recommend going to the emergency room at the least to do a pregnancy test and an ultrasound. An ectopic pregnancy (a pregnancy in your Fallopian tube instead of your uterus) can present with symptoms like yours, and women can bleed internally and even die if it is not diagnosed promptly.

I would be happy to discuss your case further with you if you would like, and I hope the information I was able to give you was helpful.

Please do not to hesitate to contact me if you need any clarification.

I hope you feel better soon, Dr. Brown

Brief Answer:
You need to have a medical evaluation, but not necessarily in the ER

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for providing me with this additonal information, but again I am trying to get a clear view of the history of your symptoms.

It is reassuring that you are not pregnant, that means your symptoms are less likely due to something dangerous, but upon reviewing your history it seems like you has the same symptoms about 6 weeks ago- you never had a medical evaluation at that time? And what laparoscopy are you referring to in your questions from September?

You may be having mid cycle bleeding, which can happen sometimes when women ovulate, and ovulation can cause pelvic pain.

At the very least, with your having chest and abdominal pain you really need an ultrasound of your pelvis and a CT scan of your chest. If you have a medical doctor I strongly recommend you see them promptly or if you do not have a doctor you can get these tests on an emergency basis, however finding your own doctor to do the evaluation will help finally to give you a diagnosis and then a possible chance at proper treatment.

But again, if you could let me know when and why you had a laparoscopy, it may help me give you a more accurate recommendation.

If you would like please let me know if you had any findings at your laparoscopy. No matter what, you need to see a doctor for evaluation, but it may not be necessary to go to the ER.

Sincerely, Dr. Brown

Brief Answer:
You may have a condition called endometriosis.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for providing that information.

If you had a cyst and scar tissue previously, that combination of findings may be consistent with a gynecologic condition called endometriosis.

Endometriosis is a common cause of pelvic pain in young women. It is managed by a combination of pain medication and hormonal treatment. Starting birth control pills, which gives you regular periods and inhibits the formation of cysts, can help control the pain in a lot of patients.

So I suggest that if the pain gets to be unbearable that you go to the ER, but if not, you really should make an urgent appointment with a GYN doctor because they may be able to come up with a treatment regimen for you. In the meantime, you can safely take any over-the counter pain medication (Ibuprofen is safe to take 4 over the counter pills every 8 hours for pain).

I hope I was able to answer your question adequately and that my advice was helpful. If you are finished with your inquiry, please close the question and thank you for using my services and healtbcaremgic.com

Best wishes, and I hope you feel better soon, Dr. Brown
