What Causes Left Sided Chest Pain In A Patient With Pulmonary Embolism?

Question: 4 weeks ago I had an idiopathic pulmonary embolism after 5 days in hospital on injections into my stomach bI was discharged under the hospital at home scheme in Adelaide Australia. I am diabetic 2 and am on insulin my dr says I also have peripheral neuropathy and several other chronic illnesses tonight after really bad pain in the right side of my chest where the embolism is Iwent to emergency dept with difficulty breathing the diagnosis was pain coming from the embolism and the breathing was my Copd.However my real problem is excruciating cramps in my legs and left chest and my back but no one seems bothered my Dr has me on magnesium and quinine with little effect can you help me please I am feeling so unwell.

Since you are diabetic and had Pulmonary embolism, better to rule out cardiac cause for your left sided chest pain.
So get done ecg and 2d echo to rule out cardiac diseases.
Also get done x ray of lumber spine to rule out spinal pathology as a cause for your leg pain and back pain.
Also get done vitamin b 12 level as its deficiency is common in diabetics and can cause cramping pain.
So consult your doctor and discuss all these.
