Brief Answer:
Please answer and post the photos..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HCM..

You have given very short history. There are itchy ringed patches in groin areas. For perfect diagnosis I would like to see photos of affected parts and to have answers of few questions...

- duration?
- describe the lesions...
- besides itching any other complaints like pain, burning?
- other sites affected?
- other diseases like DM,HIV,anaemia or other?
- do you have perspiration more frequently in these areas?
- history of job..
- history of any medicine you take..
- family history of similar or other disease..

Please answer and upload the photos of affected areas.

Awaiting your reply..

Thanks.

This is not this big, but very small in size.

Also, please find below the answers for your questions:

- duration? - 2 weeks (itching a lot for the past couple of day)
- describe the lesions... - it is like a ring with slightly swollen corners froming a round. There are little patches
- besides itching any other complaints like pain, burning? - no pain, burning after scratching it when it itches
- other sites affected? - sometimes bums but not much
- other diseases like DM,HIV,anaemia or other? - No other diseases
- do you have perspiration more frequently in these areas? - maybe
- history of job.. - Project manager where I will be sitting most of the times
- history of any medicine you take.. - no intake of any medicines...as this is the first time I have this. I only applied coconut oil and itch guard.
- family history of similar or other disease.. - Both my parents have some skin diseases similar to this.

I hope I have answered all your question. Feel free to ask me if anything is unclear.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Tinea cruris likely

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome back..

Thanks for answers and photo.

After reading answers and seeing the photo, I could conclude that you seem to suffer from tinea cruris. It is a fungal infection caused by dermatophytes. Probably perspiration may be the major factor for the disease. You should clean and dry the area frequently while you are in office. You may be having tendency for the fungal infection. You consult nearby dermatologist and have perfect treatment. However, I would suggest as follow..

- antifungal tab like ketoconazole or itraconazole once a day for 2 weeks
- antihistaminics like levocetirizine dail at night till itch is relieved
- antifungal cream like clotrimazole or miconazole cream apply at night
- antifungal powder like clotrimazole powder to sprinkle frequently after bath and at office also
- keep the area dry
- avoid soap bath
- dettol liq may be used for bath ...few drops in water in bucket
- treatment of affected nearby family members

I hope this would be helpful in managing your skin problem. Still, any query..you may ask.

Thanks.
