Brief Answer:
Keep it clean, dry and airy for healing to occur!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about what happened to your genitals. From the information, this is most likely caused by the movements associated with masturbation. For some reasons, you traumatized the skin and caused blisters and wounds. the best thing to do now is to keep the area clean with a diluted antispetic solution like betadine, keep it airy and dry to avoid heat and moisture which would aggravate the wounds. This would ensure that there is no further infection and healing occurs. If this is the first time that you ever used this Ky jelly, I am afraid it could be an allergic reaction from this.

Avoid applying any creams or ointment right now unless it is required in future. These may worsen irritation and cause the extend of these wounds to increase and not help with the healing. Of course, no further masturbation or sex at this time.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

How will I know the betadine solution is working?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Chobufo Ditah (10 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
You would see the wound healing, less pains!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for following up with me.

To know that treatment is effective with Betadine, you would observe signs of wound healing. Also, the pain and discomfort would lessen. If these fail to happen, we would need further evaluation to see if there are anythings which should be done differently at that time.

I hope this helps. I wish you well.

I already applied betadine 2 times since. Is it suppose to feel like a burning sensation. I'm curious.
doctor
Answered by Dr. Chobufo Ditah (31 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
That's correct..Burning sensation!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up precision.

Betadine is not to apply as an ointment but to get wet a gauze with and cleanse the blisters. I will suggest you do this morning and evening and not more than twice in a day. The sensation is correct and would lessen with healing. Could you also provide an image for inspection?

I hope this helps. I wish you well an a speedy recovery. Hope to hear from you.

Brief Answer:
This cannot g away before next Tuesday!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this attachment. I understand how difficult it has been getting it through to me. I appreciate your efforts and resilience on this.

I have reviewed this image. There is no possibility that this can get completely resolved by then. It would be sensible to talk to the operating surgeon about this right now. He would see if there are any specific arrangements he can make to carry on with the procedure. If not possible, I share your pain about this.

I asked that you use Iodine in cleansing and not applying it as a lotion. The image leaves me believing you have been applying rather than cleansing with a gauze soaked in Iodine. Please, if you have not been applying as instructed, consider doing so.

I hope this helps. I wish you well and a speedy recovery.

If I go to the hospital emergency room for this problem, would that speed up the recovery and I can get surgery as planned?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Chobufo Ditah (7 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Though good idea, it wouldn't speed it up!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this follow up.

Wounds heal over time and 2days are not enough for the wound I saw to get completely healed. Going to the emergency room would allow for a thorough assessment and expertise wound dressing/care but healing would not be possible before then.

I hope this helps. I wish you well.

My surgery is scheduled for November 4 2014.Would I be okay by then?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Chobufo Ditah (8 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Yes, that's sufficient time for healing!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

9days would be reasonable to have a significant level of healing that would not be an issue with surgery unless something else happens. Let's get a review image on Tuesday to see if all is moving as planned or we would need some more aggressive measures.

I wish you well and look forward hearing from you.
