What Causes Irritation And Discomfort In Penis?

default
Posted on Wed, 19 Aug 2015
Question: I'm experiencing an irritating, pinch-like pain at the opening of my penis, off and on for the last week. Then yesterday, a had a persistent dull ache in my kidney areas, and a feeling of intense pressure in my groin area. The penis pain disappeared yesterday with the new pains, but today my kidneys and groin feel better, still sore, but the penis pain is back.

A urine culture returned negative results two days ago for a UTI, chlamydia, and gonnorhea.

I can't see my PCP until Friday. Should I be alarmed, visit an urgent care clinic? It's extremely uncomfortable and I'm quite anxious about it.

Brief Answer:
you should visit urologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
I dont think this is an emerggency,so you can wait, just drink plenty of fluids and rest. But you should sooner or late see urologist and do urogenital ultrasound, blood tests and urine analysis. It may be prostatitis, kidney stone or STD. If fever occur or pain worsen, you should start antibiotic, ciprofloxacine for 7 days. Wish you good health. Regards
