What Causes Irregular Bowel Movements And Pain In Back, Tailbone And Testicle?

default
Posted on Wed, 26 Nov 2014
Question: I have pain in my rt middle back that has been persistent for about 6weeks. I also have gone from normal bowel movements, every morning, to about once or twice a week. Sometimes it is constipation sometimes it is not. When the bowel movement is not constipation it is very thin and snake like. My lower GI growls a lot but I don't have abdominal pain. I do have some occasional pain in my tailbone area and in my rt testical which makes me nauseas when it occurs. When this pain occurs I usually pass gas which helps the pain subside. What could be causing this?

Brief Answer:
psyllium husk. visit your Doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I can see from your previous question that you had a colonoscopy an year a go. In that case in would suggest to get a thyroid test done to check if it is the cause of the constipation. I would advise to start on psyllium husk with water for your constipation which will help in increasing the frequency of stools and make them soft.

You back pain needs further investigation. Physical examination is needed followed by an xray or MRI depending on the physical examination results. The mode of therapy can be decided after this. Mean while you can use paracetamol or naproxen for the pain

You also need abphysiical examination for your testicular pain to check for the presence of an inguinal hernia.
Hope this helps
