Brief Answer:
Needs further evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
Effects of clonidine cannot last for 5 days after you get off it. It is most probably a suboxone withdrawal. Mostly people do not have such severe withdrawal symptoms on suboxone. However probably the age is not on our side. At 71, the capacity to bear the stress of withdrawal is less and that has led to a protracted withdrawal state.
This is certainly bound to go off with time. But untill then I would suggest that you would have to go for further evaluation like round the clock BP assessments (4-8 times a day), 2D ECHO of the heart, Serum B12 levels etc. Keep yourself well hydrated. Use painkillers like acetaminophen or tramadol liberally.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
