Brief Answer: Skin Tag Detailed Answer: Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic, Skin tags can get infected after small trauma like a scratch or a pull. The yellowish fluid could be pus from an infected skin tag. When infection occurs little bit of scarring and tissue loss occurs following which skin tag can shrink. There are episodes where small skin tag have totally disappeared after a scratch. You may apply an antibiotic ointment like neosporin three times a day for a week.
