Brief Answer:
Empty feeling chest

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that you have been having some chest discomfort. You call it an empty feeling. Not exactly painful but this makes me concerned that it could be heart disease. Your brain may be interpreting heart pain as an empty feeling. I would recommend that you see your medical provider and have them start a cardiac workup. It could also be esophagitis or GERD. This is less dangerous but still can cause chest discomfort. You can try using Zantac or prilosec to see if that changes the feeling.

My initial feeling though is to be on the safe side that you have a cardiac work up to be sure it is not your heart that is causing this feeling

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
