What Causes Hive Like Rash On Skin After Getting Macular Degeneration Shots?

default
Posted on Fri, 24 Jun 2016
Question: I have been having injections for macular degeneration. The first three passed with no ill effects, but after the fourth one I broke out in an appalling hive like rash. I had taken Diclac a couple of days beforehand and now I have been told I cannot have any more injections and must never use Diclac internally or topically. Why is this?

Brief Answer:
Delayed allergy response

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concern.

What you experienced was delayed allergy response to Diclac. No one can explain it why it occurred, but unfortunaty, your body is having a bad allergy when injected Diclac. The allergic reaction will be more severe next time, that's the why we highly recommend not to use anymore.

Diclac contains generic diclophenac, so should avoid it's use either injection or pills or topically.

You should keep a record and always tell your doctor you are allergic to diclophenac.

All the best.
