Fever started yest evening n subsided with paracetamol. Light cold n cough persisted though which were there from almost 2 to 3 days. Had milk with pepper n turmeric before sleep. From midnight I suffered lack of sleep due to this heaviness. No migrain. Today I had 2 loose motions. From 5th of this month till yest I was getting pain in the abdomen 3 to 4 times a day and had to go for motions, but not loose motions. Doctor has not done any diagnosis, based on the symptoms he gave the prescription. No running nose.
As asked by you, i've sent all the details you have asked an hour ago. I'm very eager to know the reason for the condition of my friend. Very urgent. Please answer.

Brief Answer:
looks like sinusitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
thanks for all the details.

From your symptoms it looks like you have upper respiratory tract infection.
The heaviness of the head is probably due to sinusitis.
Most of the infections of upper respiratory tract are viral in nature hence require only symptomatic treatment.

For the pain take a pain killer like tylenol after checking the dose.
You also need a local nasal decongestant drops like otrivin.
Instill 3 drops in each nostril 3 times a day for 5 days and follow it up with steam.
These drops help to keep the sinuses well ventilated and aid in recovery.

If you do not feel better in a couple of days then see a doctor because you may need a course of antibiotics.

Drink lots of water and do salt water gargling, avoid air conditioning and fan, avoid cold foods and eat nutricious food.

Regards,
Dr Rajkishori Godhi.

Thank you for your suggestions. My friend about whom I have been telling you had met another doctor( a general physician) yesterday evening. And the doctor has suggested Coldwin-C, Tiniba 500, rantac d, zedocef CV 200 tablets. My friend is now using them. But there is no betterment in his condition. He always had a problem of sleeplessness. Please suggest what is to be done now. Should he consult any specialist. And how to get rid of this sleeplessness.
