Well palpitations with shortness of breath can be due to problems in heart, kidney problems or low hemoglobin.

But palpitations and shortness of breath on lying down most of the times is due to heart problems .


You need to get the following tests for the evaluation of your problem.

Complete hemogram, Serum Creatinine, 2D Echo.
