Brief Answer:
Get ECG done to rule out cardiac causes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

Thanks for your question on HCM.

In my opinion, it seems GERD (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease) only but since you are having left sided chest discomfort too, it is better to rule out cardiac cause first. So get done ECG. If this is normal then mostly it is associated with GERD only.

It is due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter. Because of this the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus(food pipe) and cause the symptoms.

Try to follow these steps along with antacid you are taking, for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid heavy meals, instead take frequent small meals.
2. Avoid hot and spicy food.
3. Avoid stress and anxiety.
4. Go for walk after meals.
5. Raise your head level with pillows while in bed.
6. Quit habits like smoking and alcohol if you have.
7. Loose weight if you are obese.

Hope I have solved your query.

I will be happy to help you further.

Wish you good health.
Thanks.

Thank you for your Answer.
Here is my case in detail -
I am 36 years old doing regular Gym workouts and I am 80Kg with 5.8" height.
I also drank beer whole part of my life and recently did it a bit too much. Than I started with heavy workouts in the gym and from past six months I started feeling short breathness and I used to have not other symptoms than. I showed to a physician who said it is nothing just something related to acidity and stuff.
I thought maybe I did regular chest workout in the Gym and might have hurt my chest muscles etc..
10 days ago my father was diagnosed with a Tumor in the spine nerve which I thought as was cancer.. and I was really really very very stressed out and for 2 days I was thinking the samething again and again.. Than came my chest pain while driving my car, I was feeling dizziness and was confused during that time.
My heart would feel like someone is pinching, tickling and sometimes cold.
I straight went to my Doctor and he took an ECG immediately which was normal and my BP was also normal. So he gave me a med for Acidity.
I was a bit normal in 2 days.
Than came a friends marriage party.
First in afternoon I had half Papaya, than 6 peg of Scotch Whisky, than
I had all kind of spicy food.. Fish, Chicken, EGG etc.. In the evening I again had half bottle of Wine.
I had hangover the next whole day. Than started the real problem for me.
The Chest was as tight as possible for one whole day. Than as it released my heart started to give the same effects and started feeling Dizziness again.
I went to the doctor again.. He fired at me for going overdoes and said if you continue like this.. you will soon have ANGINA. Then again one ecg. which he said that heart is struggling a bit but you should be gine.. Again one Acidity medication was prescribed. Again I was a bit normal for a week or so. Though not completely recovered.
3 days ago I again had some spicy food in a friends marraige and by the evening I had this attack and I was taken to a nearby hospital and they took an ECG and BP both normal and doctor ruled out any heart attack or something like that.
I was prescribed with Rabemac DSR for acidity which I am continuing till today.
This is my medical history.
I do not have any other medical conditions a part from some High cholesterol issue which is now under control as per my recent blood reports.
Should I worry for Angina ?? Will I get any heart Attack because of such conditions ???
I stopped Alcohol completely past 10 days and will not have it in future. I do not smoke at all.
Now when I sit in my chair and eat, I feel my stomach is full and my chest becomes a bit tight (better than before though) and worrying sign for me is pain near Heart and the JAW pain which cause headache and ear pain.

Sorry for my such big explanation but I just wanted to be sure that I am telling you the real condition.

Brief Answer:
No need to worry much.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

Thanks for the detailed history. It makes me understand your condition better.

In my opinion it is not Angina. It may be withdrawal symptoms due to your alcohol habit. May be this plus GERD both causes you symptoms.

I also want to know few more things
1. When did you get your the cholesterol test and what was the report?
2. Please upload all the investigations you have done till now for this problem?
3. Have you ever undergone ultrasound examination of abdomen for liver condition?

At present start lifestyle modifications as advised in previous reply.

Awaiting for your reply.

Wish you good health.

Thanks.

Hello Doctor,

I have uploaded all my recent bloodtest, ECG and Doctors findings.

Please check.
I have few questions :
1) Do you think now we have to seal this is as HyperAcidity, Acid Reflux or GERD.
2) When I eat, I have to stand and eat or I start getting the feeling that something is creeping from my stomach to chest and than to my Jaw.
3) Can Acid Reflux cause headache, Neck Pain, Joint pain and slight feverish as well ?
4) How long does it take to cure these symptoms ? Ofcourse after following all that you have said in your reply.
5) Did it damage my heart or other parts during this course of its stay ?? Since I keep getting little pain around my chest at times and which sometimes feel like my heart is in trouble.
6) Can I exercise ?? I like to do all kinds of exercises. From Skipping to Weight lifting.
7) Can I have Fish, Egg ?? Since I want the protein and vitamins for my exercises. Ofcourse not spicy or fried.
8) Can I have ENO or any such things to relive the acidity ??
9) Home remedies like Curd, Cold Milk, Pudina, Tulsi, Lime Juice, Mausambi Juice, Coconut Water, Water Melon, and other fruits. Will they interact with my medications or I can follow both ?

Sorry for the lengthy list. But I guess you guys have tremendous patience to listen to our non-senses :)
