Question: It has been about a 1 1/2 years that I have been having thyroid symptoms. I had test done at my primary physician and at my Endocrine doctor, all the test come back normal, but I still have symptoms of thyroid. My doctors look at me like I am nuts and I don't know what I am talking about. I know my own body and this is not me. I noticed a change in May of 2012 when I had a procedure done on my uterus, I had polyp and thickening of the wall and a (D & C) was done. Every since then I have not been the same. I also have osteoporosis which I would never have found out until I requested a bone density. I have pulsating on the lower right side of the front of my neck for about a year and now I have pulsating on the lower right side of my eyelid for about a week. Do you have any advice on what I can do or what direction I can go in. I would appreciate your opinion.
Thank you,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Need details of your symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Dear ma'm, hi! as you say you have symptoms of thyroid, I would like to know what exactly are you feeling. if you have a pulsating feeling below eye and elsewhere it is muscle twitching. so you need some calcium supplementation and vitamin d as well. for osteoporosis also these would help and also you may take teriparatide or bisphosphonates for it. I would like to know your recent TSH and FT4. regards!

I am on Boniva and Vitamin D3 and calcium for my osteoporosis. My symptoms are hair loss, tired all the time, exhausted, weight gain, bloating/puffiness in hands, feet, eye area, face, lack of motivation, no ambition or desire to do anything, weakness in my legs and pain in my joints.Anxiety, panic attacks, feeling run down and sluggish. Difficulty concentrating, brain fog, depression, moodiness. I could go on ,but I think you have an idea of what I am saying and what my symptoms are. And I still have palpatations in the areas I mentioned. Here is the results of my
TSH-2.21
FT4- 0.92
Hope this helps, thank you XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
There are 2 probabilities.

Detailed Answer:
Dear ma'm,
hi!
You are already taking calcium, vitamin D and bisphosphonates. So that is good for osteoporosis and gen body weakness. Now your symptoms are strongly suggestive of hypothyroidism but your reports are not frankly favoring the diagnosis.
So two things can be done.
1. May be that it is secondary hypothyroidism. So you must check your pituitary.
2. It may be post menopausal syndrome. For this you only need supportive care.
Regards!
