Brief Answer:
Get a stool test done,I don't think he needs Coligyl syrup

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for writing on this platform

I can understand your concern.Change in frequency, consistency and color of stool is quite normal in breast fed baby of this age group.
I won't get worried if he is active, passing urine and accepting feeds well.
I also won't get worried for green stool, but if there is something reddish or brownish discoloration it is a matter of concern.
I would request you to attach an image of the stool and get a stool routine test done to check whether there is any occult blood.
In few condition like cow milk protein allergy or allergy to any substance in mother diet(cow milk, beans, egg) there may be occult blood in stool of baby.
In that condition you may need to avoid milk, dairy product, egg and beans in your diet.
Coligyl is an antibiotic(unpleasent metallic taste) and intestinal infection is uncommon in a breast fed and active baby.So I don't think that Coligyl is needed and it would help much.
Watch for any abdominal distension, vomiting, poor oral acceptance, general activity and if you find any abnormality consult your pediatrician.
Please let me know about the further proceedings.
Wishing for your baby's good health.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for follow up

I have gone through the images of stool. It is greenish with some mucoid consistency.Greenish mucoid stool is not very unusual in a breast fed baby. But as it is persistent for last 12 days with occasional reddish spots,I would suggest you to get a stool test done to see any abnormal finding in the stool.
Till then I would like to hold the antibiotic and observe the baby for any abnormal symptoms.
The green color of stool in a well active baby can be due to increased intestinal motility(the green pigment get less time to get less time to get converted to normal yellowish pigment)or due to loss of normal gut flora(which helps in converting the green pigment to yellow one).
Avoid cow milk and dairy products in your diet.Give some probiotics(contains normal gut flora and has no side effects) like bifilac or enterogermina to the baby.Get a stool test done and let me know the report so that I better able to help you out.
