Brief Answer:
Drinking causes diuresis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Alcohol acts as a diuretic and makes you urinate more.

2. Continue taking more water, as much as your urinate. Otherwise, you will get dehydrated. Avoid alcohol in the immediate period now.

3. If you have not taken alcohol, the more fluids taken inside, will come out. As there is no pain, burning or any urgency, it is not any infection. If it persists for 2-3 days, then only urine examination will be necessary.

I do not expect it to be there for more than half a day, unless, extra alcohol or excess water is being taken.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.

Thank you for your input. The problem has gone away. Now it seems that I get anxious because I am not urinating as much. as normal. I have OCD disorder and as crazy as it sounds when I don't urinate as much as I think i should get stressed. i try and drink a lot so I will always like I can urinate. I had a fear for years of not beibg able to urinate and having to be catheterized. And having a Cystoscopia exam. Now that i have had both and the Cystoscopia was very easy and everything was very good. No cancers or tumors. I know their is nothing to keep me from normal urination, but I still stress over it. I also was catheterized a awhile when I had some retention and it was not as bad as I though it would be either. I take Klonlpin for my anxiety and it helps some. I go to therapy and my DR says that she can't give a more helpful drug because of My ITP low blood platelets. any sujestions?

Brief Answer:
Try to include moderate exercises.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for replying.

Good to know, now the problem has disappeared.

Klonlpin is good for anxiety and you do not need anything else.

For ITP, your platelet will be already low. Any further treatment, if it affects bone marrow, it will be unsafe. I would suggest you to continue with the same treatment and concentrate towards nutritious diet and regular exercises.

Protein rich diet and regular exercises help in good relaxation.

Hope it helps.
