What Causes Frequent Urination Post An Intercourse?

Question: Do women loose sperm while urinating (after intercourse).??

I lay flat for a couple of hours after intercourse. After that i find myself urinating frequently (though i take less fluids).

And one important doubt is, does sperm and urine travel through the same path??

I am little worried. My urine sometimes comes out hot.

Will it affect the sperm in me??
Is it causing any delay in pregnancy??

I am married for 4 years. Have been trying to conceive since 2 years.

Please advice.

Hi,

I understand your concerns about infertility.

Sperms in semen go into uterus. Some part if semen is going to come out after sexual Intercourse and is not the reason for infertility.

The passage for sperms and urine are different in women. Hence no need to worry about it.

Frequent urination could be due to urinary tract infection (UTI).

Delay in pregnancy needs to be assessed by infertility specialist. The reasons you think are not causes of infertility.

Get your husband's semen analysis done to check if sperms are good.

Get HSG (hysterosalpingogram) for yourself to assess the patency of fallopian tubes.

These are initial steps in evaluation.

Thank You!! Its soo satisfying to know that women have a separate passage for sperm and urine. I have already done HSG test and my fallopian tubes seems to be normal.Husband has a sperm count of over 40 million / ml. He is taking Fertisure-M to boost his count.

We are planning to go for iui. Any special care should i take after iui?

I hear people saying not to bend, not to use steps, no brisk walking, take break from household works, not to drive two-wheeler, not to travel etc etc All of which is causing unnecessary stress to me. I just want to feel relieved from all of these, before we go to a specialist.

No special precautions are required after IUI. You can do everything normal. There is absolutely no concern. Don't listen to people who give many wrong advices.
