Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Thanks for consulting Healthcare magic.
This is Dr. Priyanka Tiwari answering your query .

I have read your query and understand your concern . As far as sinus is punctured with bad smell after tooth extraction is concerned it can be due to two possibilities : it can be due to seperate sinus infection or it can be due to complication of extraction resulting in oroantral fistula . This complication occurs when you undergone extraction of molar tooth and if root of the tooth is very near to floor of sinus .

For this I will suggest you to consult good oral surgeon and go for clinical examination and investigation Orthopantomograph to confirm the diagnosis . Once diagnosis is confirmed we can treat accordingly. Sinus infection following extraction is not dangerous . If there is oroantral fistula it has to be treated surgicaly. Inmeanwhile you can take course of medicine like Amoxicillin with metronidazole by consulting with local doctor . Nothing to get panic , consult good oral surgeon for investigation there is no need to consult GP .

Hope I have answered your query .
If you have further query I will be happy to help.
