Brief Answer:
can vary with inflammation

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Platelet count do not remain at a particular value constantly.

In addition to playing a part in clotting, platelets also play a part in the inflammatory process of the body.

Inflammation occurs as result in infection, trauma, irritation or inflamed in an area.

When your body experiences any of these then the platelet count may rise slightly and go above the normal value.
It should return to normal or close to the normal range when the inflammatory source has resolved.

The normal range is 150 to 400 though some labs may have a slight variation on this.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
