What Causes Fatigue And Back Pain On Stopping Testosterone Injections?

default
Posted on Mon, 9 Feb 2015
Question: HI
i was using 250mg of Testosterone for one year, while i was using it i felt great, now i have been off it for 12 month and im still constantly tired, joint pain, lower back and leg pain. I have not much drive. I lost a lot of muscle mass and gained some fat. I have had my levels tested and they are 14.8nmol/L

The reason i first stared all this was because i felt like the way i do now, ( constant back pain leg pain and fatigued ) O

I am from Australia and TRT is not a discussed topic among many Australian doctors, and most are not willing to help me, there only advise was to stop the Testosterone which i have done now for 1 year.

Advice?

Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

Testosterone is often misused by patients who are seeking some of the benefits that can be seen in the short-term including improvement of energy levels as well as joint pain and libido. But taking testosterone in a situation where you do not have a true deficiency can be dangerous.

I think you should sit down with your doctor in really talk about all of the symptoms you have experience. It would be beneficial for you also to possibly see a nutritionist to focus on designing a good diet regimen for you to optimize your health. You might also benefit from a multi vitamin regimen including vitamin B complexsupplementation.

Exercise is a critical component to you eventually improving your general health. When you do come off of taking hormone therapy it can be quite difficult to get back to your baseline but I am confident that if you continue to follow up with your doctor and if you maintain determination that you will overcome these obstacles.

Regarding the joint pains it might be reasonable for you to visit with a rheumatologist. This type of doctor specializes in muscle and joint pain. It's possible you might have some type of disorder which is contributing to those symptoms as well as some of the other symptoms what you have experienced.

Thank you again for sending your question.

Sincerely,

I have been reading up about people who use Testosterone for body building and use a product called HCG to help regain there levels.

Would this help me, or is it to late since my last testosterone injection was over a year ago

Brief Answer:
Followup

Detailed Answer:
I would not use hCG. I do not see a real potential for this to actually benefit you. It has been quite sometime since you have been on testosterone and the use of this particular substance would not provide you with adequate benefit.

I would really focus on good nutrition, healthy and gradual aerobic exercise with some weight training and I'm confident that within 6 to 12 months you should feel much much better.
