Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I recommend bringing your mother to the ER and performing some tests:

- a resting ECG to examine her heart rhythm
- blood electrolytes for possible electrolytes imbalance
- kidney and liver function tests.

An electrolyte imbalance may be the cause of her symptoms.

She may also need to optimize her current therapy too if her heart rate is too high.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
