What Causes Excessive Sweating While On Estrogen And Progesterone Injection?
Question: I have very low blood sodium, I sweat excessively and i can't sleep. My Dr blames menopause for everything.
I work out every day so I must drink water. I'm told to drink less so my sodium will not be so low.
I am given Estrogen and Progesterone to control the sweating, but all the therapies fail.
What would cause low sodium along with sweating and insomnia? Hormones I am given do nothing to control any of this.
What is wrong with me? Is there some underlying problem that would be the cause of these seemingly unrelated symptoms?

There are other conditions that may cause low sodium in blood and these include heart, kidney or liver problems.
Syndrome of inappropriate anti-diuretic hormone also is a possibility.
If you use diuretics, they also may lower your sodium levels in blood.
Sexual hormones usually don't affect the sodium levels in blood, so, it is necessary to get checked for other conditions that may cause your issues.
Discuss with your Doctor about above mentioned possible conditions and further evaluation.

I recently has an EKG and my heart is very sound. I do 8 hours of Aerobic exercise a week. So I do not believe it is my heart.
I also had my thyroid tested and that is normal too.
I experience occasional dizziness too, so had an MRI of my head and neck, that revealed nothing abnormal. I also get a lot of neck pain that I have addressed with regular chiropractic adjustments. However, it pretty much always hurts.
I am curious if my Adrenal function is somehow out of whack...
