Brief Answer:
cirrhosis diagnosed with scar tissue and nodules in the liver

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Cirrhosis is defined as the replacement of normal liver tissue to fibroid tissue/scar tissue resulting in nodules in the liver.

The progression from liver injury or inflammation to cirrhosis can take weeks or years. It varies from one person or condition to the next.

It would be diagnosed if you have symptoms of liver failure and also if there is evidence of this scar tissue in the liver (by biopsy or imaging may also be used).
Symptoms would be jaundice, swelling of the abdomen due to ascites, bleeding (because affects clotting).

Fatty liver can lead to cirrhosis if not treated or causative factors not removed. Fatty liver can be due to alcohol use or can be non alcoholic fatty liver due to diet and lifestyle.

Non alcoholic fatty liver would be treated with lifestyle changes to activity and improved diet (a reduction in carbohydrates because it is changed and stored as fat) .
Statins are also used.

Fatty liver due to alcohol needs to involve discontinuation of all alcohol.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

So you are saying that these numbers indicate cirrhosis?

Brief Answer:
cirrhosis is scar tissue and nodules in the liver

Detailed Answer:
HI

NO the numbers on their own do not indicate cirrhosis.

Cirrhosis is scar tissue in the liver, it is not diagnosed based on lab results. It would only be diagnosed if you have symptoms of liver failure or if you have scar tissue in the liver as seen on biopsy or imaging.

the lab results indicate that the liver is impaired- not working as it should but they do not diagnose cirrhosis

Please feel free to ask anything else
