Brief Answer:
Possible breakthrough bleed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for posting your query.

Since the hCG diet involves rapid reduction of calorie intake, it influences the body metabolism. This means it can also effect the hormone balance. Thus, you may have seen an early menstruation. It is possible that you could have had a breakthrough bleed. Please get your hormone levels monitored as you are taking some.

If you have initiated the diet on your own, please see a specialist for proper surveillance as the hCG diet is better not self-administered. Also, in my personal opinion, weight management with diet and exercise is a better option as this diet has been shown to have several side effects.

Hope your query has been clarified. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

Brief Answer:
Effects of the hormone and crash dieting.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

Firstly, you are taking a hormone that can make the ovaries to hyper-stimulate leading to OHSS, ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome.

Secondly, you can have the side effects a crash diet can produce, like weakness, gall stones, irregular heart beat and electrolyte imbalance that may lead to erratic muscle and nerve function.

Provided you can follow a safe diet along with the injections, a diet which provides you all essential nourishment, you can overcome most of the side effects. You should also watch out for OHSS with regular monitoring. Please remember, hCG diet is not FDA approved.

Hope I have answered your doubt. Please contact if you need more clarifications. I will be ready to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.

But it was prescribed by a Doc from South XXXXXXX He told me to make it for six weeks in a row, and then stop for 2 weeks and then continue the shots (hcg) but always keeping a diet poor in carbo hidrats, and that does not pass the 1200 kcalories a day... and it is really working out.

Brief Answer:
Can continue with care to watch for OHSS.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing again.

As you are being supervised by an expert, and since you find this regime comfortable, you can continue on it, but, please watch for ovarian hyper-stimulation, which can lead to pelvic pain, bleeding etc. Periodic check up by a gynecologist would be ideal so long as you are on this treatment regime.

Hope this helps to answer your query. Please contact if you need any more information. I will be available to help.

Wish you good health.

regards,
Shanti.V.
