What Causes Ear Pain And Slight Swelling While Recovering From A Stroke?
Question: Hi Doctor,
I have got a stroke 2months back. And I am in recovering stage.
Doctor suggested me Clopitab, Tonact 40, Ecosprin 325MG
I have been using them and there is no problem.
But a month back I got a ear pain and I consulted a ENT doctor .
The doctor said there was a slight swell inside the ear and after a week that swell was reduced and was looking like a air bubble. He has given me tablets and then after 5days that air bubble broke and slight blood and pus has come out.
We consulted the doctor, he has given tabs and also a ointment and told that it would be reduced very soon.
But it still didnt get reduced and when I put some cotton inside the ear , the cotton gets blooded. slightly.
Can you tell me what is happening to me?

After reading your clinical history it appears that you are most probably had furuncle in ear canal which got break & pus come out .
If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice
continue ointment & antibiotic tablets .
Keep ear dry , don’t allow water go inside while bath.
You will need ear cleaning from ENT doctor . Don't put cotton bud inside it will push discharge inside.
You will get relief .

I forgot to tell you that I am diabetic.
Also I have one more thing to tell
My ENT doctor has got a doubt " As I am using the ecosprin 325mg for blood thinning, the blood might be coming." So I just started using the 150mg from today. Can you confirm me this might be a reason too??
and also he has given me one more solution ..that is BOTROCLOT.
can you provide me your inputs on this.

Since you are diabetic , you need to take care of even minor infection . In Diabetic , wound healing require more days than normal .
You had furuncle in ear canal which got break & pus come out . Since you are on blood thining drug like Clopitab , Ecosprin blood come from furuncle too which is not stoping easily.
You need to consult your Doctor for stoping or decreasing dose of Clopitab , Ecosprin for few days to stop bleeding .
Botroclot will help to stop bleeding by forming clot inside ear .
Use Tab Vitamin C twice daily to promote healing of furuncle wound early .
