Brief Answer:
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I suggest you to proceed with BPPV testing by the doctor. The doctor will do some head movements at neck on the edge of the table to determine if these symptoms are due to BPPV. This is very common at this age group. It is also good to record pulse, blood pressure, blood sugar while she complains of symptoms. It might be that she is getting up suddenly from the dinner chairs that leads hampers the blood supply to the brain and thus cause dizziness.

There are other age related degeneration that happen in the arteries that supply the brain. If the blood insufficiency to brain hampers then they complaint similar symptoms. In such case only meticulous care is sufficient and no medications are required to lead normal life.

Hope this helps.
