What Causes Dizziness, Sore Throat, Blocked Nose, Fatigue And Loss Of Appetite?
Question: Ive been working in a new job for 2 weeks, doing 8 and a half hours per day 7 days a week with no break during my shift. Yesterday i started to feel dizzy and my throat is sore and my nose is also a little blocked. Im feeling very tired and have a loss of appetite. This morning i am the same but my throat is not sore anymore. I am just feeling very dizzy and extremely tired but cant sleep. Im not sure if this is just a common cold? Ive also been put on anxiety tablets a few months back as i suffered from panic attacks but recently i have stopped taking them. I quit my job yesterday and there was a huge row between my boss and family. Is it a common cold or has it got to do with stress?
Brief Answer:
both sore throat and stress
Detailed Answer:
Hello Young lady,
Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.
Symptoms of blocked nose, dizziness, continuous work without holiday, tiredness ,loss of appetite all are symptoms of sore throat. Stress of work as well as recent issue between boss and family can aggravate common cold symptoms.
Better to consult doctor for throat examination and treatment. Even after treatment if problem persists without pain in throat, it is anxiety and you need to consult psychiatrist for the same.
Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Dr.Chintan Solanki.

take Tylenol and do warm water gargles

Hello,
For a while you can take over the counter drug Tylenol for relief. Do warm saline gargles 2-3 times a day. Avoid cold and sweet food.
Also do meditation and exercise to reduce stress.
If sore throat persists for more than 2 days, there may be need on antibiotic like levofloxacin or azithromycin.
