What Causes Dizziness And Headaches?

default
Posted on Tue, 23 Sep 2014
Question: I have been feeling lightheaded and wobbly for a few days now but yesterday I started with severe headache. I thought I was just over warm as work can be too hot as we have no ventilation but seemed to get worse on the journey home. By the time I reached home I had no energy and felt like my whole body was jelly. Today I have become aware that my left Is really heavy and weak
Almost like I'm throwing it around to get it to do anything. I have been diagnosed with M.E and generally put every problem down to this so don't visit the doctor very often but this has thrown me off a bit
Before I book to see my gp I wanted to see if there was any reason to take up a valuable appointment or if I am just over thinking things and it is just the. M. E.

Brief Answer:
Hi, find detail answer below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dear

I admire you for positive outlook.

I understand your concern.

Headache is due to anything but associate symptoms is very important.

You said my left is really heavy and weak what does it mean?

Do you have history of recent fever or infection?

Do you have nausea, vomiting or difficulty in vision?

Do you have difficulty in walking or giddiness?

All of the above mentioned symptoms is the key to reach proper conclusion.

I do not get you about M.E , kindly send proper diagnosis then i will tell you in details.

Certain basic investigation is must to rule out causes like complete blood count, urine analysis, Liver and renal function test.

If needed then eye sight refraction and fundus examination, Ct scan etc.

Fundus examination and CT scan both are helpful to detect any pressure changes in brain or any other abnormality.

Till all that take following advise.
Take complete rest from work.

Take plenty of fluid and electrolyte.

Take proper food and sleep.

You said you took paracetamol but no benefit so take combination of paracetamol and diclofenac sodium for better result.

Take it thrice in a day.

If any other symptoms then revert back to me with detail query.

Happy to help you.

Take care.

Thank you.

Eyes are fine. I not long ago had a test, I work in an opticians and regular eye tests are the normal. M. E is sometimes known as chronic fatigue syndrome, I was told I had it after a spell of scarlet fever that had attacked my muscles and joints. The weaknesses /Heaviness in my left arm is just that. It feels like it weighs alot but actually moving it is like trying to shift something that doesn't quiet belong to.me. As for recent infections there is nothing I am aware of, but as I said I don't always take heed when my body is telling me things. The only thing that does come to mind is a recurring bout of vertigo about 5. Months ago. Not that I went to the doctor then either. It's the sudden strangeness in my arm that's really bothered me and as you can see from my initial enquirey I'm not one to be on the gp doorstep with every sniffle.

Hi

good to see you again.

I appriciate your reply.

But still I say go for CT scan once to be clear that nothing in mind

Second if it is like fibromylagia or fatigue syndrome then need to take medicines.

Usually that kind of conditions can be treated with drugs like TCA And SNRI.

Amitryptiline is the choise for chronic pain and take diclofenac plus paracetamol for acute pain as and when require.

1st need to go for CT and then medicine.

Thats all from my side.

Happy to help you.
Thank you.
Get well soon.
