Brief Answer:
Prostate gland enlargement

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for the query at HealthcareMagic,

The prostate is a gland in male reproductive system. It secretes fluids that nourish the sperm. The prostate surrounds urethra, which is the tube through which urine passes. So any enlargement of the prostate can cause obstruction in the urinary outflow, which in turn presents as difficulty urinating.

As the age advances, prostate gland enlarges in men called benign prostatic hyperplasia. Tumors in the prostate can also cause similar symptoms.

Confirmation of diagnosis requires a per-rectal examination and PSA levels (to rule out any prostate pathologies).

Please be advised to follow-up with your primary care provider/ urologist for confirmation of diagnosis and management accordingly.
