What Causes Diarrhea After Eating Every Meal?

default
Posted on Wed, 3 Aug 2016
Question: sometimes I have an "explosive" bowl movement after I eat, in the am or at lunch, (morning BM is okay). I am having a colonostrpy in September, but was wondering if it could be anything serious. It doesn't happen all the time. I described it one of my doctors and that is where I got the word "explosive"

Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be due to any serious cause

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms

Some individuals do experience expulsive bowel movement after meal, it happens due to hyperactive Gastro-colic reflex( Distension of stomach associated with eating causes increased motility of colon leading to bowel movement ) . It is exaggeration of normal reflex , and is unlikely to be something serious.

In the absence of any other associated symptoms , its unlikely to be cause for concern.
