What Causes Depression While On Zoloft?

Question: hi if someone was on zoloft & suddenly stop but fell back in to depression & went back on medication for 3 years & after that she stop slowley & c
completely stop 6 months ago whats the chances to go back on it ?

Current guidelines for treatment of depression recommended by the XXXXXXX Psychiatric Association state that once someone has had 2 or more depressive episodes, they should be on lifelong treatment with an antidepressant such as Zoloft to prevent relapse into another major depressive episode. In your case, it is very likely you will have another major depressive episode without treatment with Zoloft. I recommend you talk with your doctor about restarting Zoloft to prevent another major depressive episode.
