What Causes Deposition Of Fat On Left Side Of Body?
Question: I would like to know what causes me to get fatty tumors on my left side of my body on my back, leg, under arm ? I had a car accident years ago and my left hip is not like it should be so I have to get injections in my hip, knee and/or back. I feel like my left side is bigger than my right side, I don't have a lot of feeling on the outside of my left leg...I know there is something the dr here is missing but I don't know what. I forget I had an mri on my lower back and it showed I have bulging disc L4 and 5

The deposition of more fat on the left side can be related to lesser usage of muscles on that side. The distribution of fat in body can follow different patterns and is not indicative of any pathology. Recurrent injections in an area can also cause fibromas to develop causing a lump like appearance.
The decreased feeling on the outside of the leg can be due to the disc prolapse at L4-L5. You can do regular back strengthening exercises to prevent the further progression of the problem. Taking methylcobalamin supplements will also help.
