Brief Answer:
Please follow instructions below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Medication iPill contains a high dosage of hormones and can cause menstrual irregularities for the next two cycles. Since you have taken only in emergency then it is justified. This can result in your periods getting delayed or early. Taking iPill regularly can cause cysts in ovary and ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.

Sometimes home pregnancy tests can be negative in early stages. If it is not done at least 15 days from date of unprotected sex and more than one week after your expected date of periods then please get home pregnancy test repeated. The home pregnancy test is more than 95 percent accurate when done at least 15 days after unprotected sex.

If home pregnancy tests are persistently negative and you still dont get your periods then please consult your gynecologist and do blood testing for pregnancy. This is more accurate than home pregnancy tests which is done with urine.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek

Brief Answer:
Please repeat home pregnancy test, consult doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

I have re checked your expected periods dates should you have had your last period on 27 September 2014.

If you have regular 28 day cycles then your following periods should have been on 25 October 2014 and the next one expected on 22 November 2014.

It is enough time since the incident and I guess you got the home pregnancy test done at least after 19 October 2014 and result was negative. Still you can repeat the test and then consult your doctor.

Truly speaking, your periods if delayed due to iPill, should not have been delayed by so many days. You might also be advised to get an ultrasound scan of pelvis done and a blood test for pregnancy confirmation.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek

Brief Answer:
Clinical examination of white discharge important.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

The home pregnancy test surely needs to be repeated and if persistently negative with the white discharge, there can be many reasons. The iPill itself can change the hormonal environment inside your body and lead to excessive white discharge. If itching is also there then yeast infection must be suspected. It is important to get clinically examined and hope you will be visiting your doctor in 2 days.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Dr.Vivek
