Brief Answer:
Self medication is not recommended for long time

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns about delayed periods.

Following is my reply:

1. Delayed periods could be due to polycystic ovaries, Increase in weight, stress etc..

2. Combination of ipill and primolut is not bad.

3. I suggest you go for permanent contraception like copper T intrauterine device or oral contraceptive pill daily because i pill every time is not recommended for years. Discuss about it with your doctor.

4. You are not pregnant.

5. Sometimes due to decreased progesterone hormones you may not have got periods even if you have taken primolut. Hence I suggest you wait for a week and take primolut again with doctor's prescription.

6. I advice against self medication like you do every time. Please see a gynecologist for a proper advice on contraception, prevention of STD as well as irregular periods. Get an ultrasound scan if possible

I hope your doubt is clarified. Let me know if you wish any other information.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya
