Brief Answer:
possible functional cyst formation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM ,
If the egg hasn't ruptured even after 72 hrs now then it is important that a repeat ultrasound pelvis should be done for follicular monitoring an if the size of the follicle if more than 30mm, then this cycle has to be abandoned as it has formed a follicular cyst and one has to wait for the cyst to subside, else ovulation in the next cycle may get hampered.
iF ITS LESS THAN 30mm still, then you may wait for it to rupture and monitor by ultrasound, and when ruptures can either plan for a timed intercourse or an IUI procedure followed by duphaston tablets.
As of now get the ultrasound done.

Detailed Answer:
Ideally the follicle ruptures whine reaches 24mm. as it has already been more than 72 hrs and the follicle has not ruptured, then it is all the more important to check with an ultrasound pelvis,
