What Causes Dark Purple Bruises All Over Body, Bloating And Nausea?
Question: For over a year, dark purple bruises of various sizes have appeared on various parts of my body. At first, it was only my legs (22 bruises). Now, the bruises appear on my legs, buttocks, and arms. The bruises come and go. No apparent trigger. I am tired all the time, and require more sleep. I get sick when I complete high intensity exercises, and may be down 2-3 days as a result. I've gained weight. I am having difficulty losing weight. IBS/GERD is acting up.Normally, the IBS/GERD is well controlled, but now, I am unable to flush system regularly. Can be weeks at a time, never a full cleansing. I have dizziness sometimes. I experience numbness/tingling in extremities, even with the slightest pressure from two fingers. No autoimmune disease has been diagnosed. Biopsy said no vasculitis. Thyroid is fine. No diabetes. Inflammation in various parts of the body. Asthma. No finding of categorical finding of lupus. Now, my heart is skipping beats here and there. No one knows what it is. Month to month, more symptoms appear.

2. are you on any medication? - Symbicort, Zyrtec - We have explored the possibilities it's medication, change them, and still the bruises appeared.

6. any other symptom that you would like to share? Inflammation of eyes (GPC), sometimes joint pain in hands - legs/arms pop, asthma now uncontrolled, numbness with light pressure, severe constipation, acid reflux
Another symptom - Belly swollen all the time. Expands whether I eat or not.

I would suggest you to visit hospital & get an appointment for "Consultant Hematologist". He is specialized in blood disorders. He will perform some investigations including CBC with ESR, peripheral smear, clotting profile to confirm the diagnosis. Further management will depend upon the results.
