Brief Answer:
MRI scan is more sensitive

Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam.

I can certainly understand your concern.

Since you perceive this sensation, it's important to completely rule out anything that is causing this discomfort.

Hence you can for MRI scan of the temporal bone which can accurately dilineate structures of the middle and inner ear.

Kindly update me with the test results.

Further management if any is largely based on test results.

Post your further questions if any.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
A trial of antifungal medications can be given

Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam.

You can give a try of these medications, if your doctor thinks that it's a fungal infection of the external ear.

Fungal infection of the ear can produce ear debris that can also irritate the ear, causing such crawling sensation.

In case if you don't respond with these medications, then go for further screening options like MRI.
