Brief Answer:
Chronic otitis media

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare Magic and thanks for putting up the query
Presence of vertigo in cases with tympanic membrane perforation is usually a sign of progressing disease.
My advice is you should get a CT Temporal bone abd pure tone audiometry done to see the extent of disease.
It will also help to assess that if vertigo is because of otitis media or something else.
Take tablet betahistine 16 mg twice daily for a week and tablet stemetil twice daily for a week. it will help to relieve the symptoms of vertigo.
All the medicine prescribed by me will be available only on prescription.
Any further questions are always welcome.
Follow up with the required information so that I can suggest you better.
Take care
Thanks and regards

Hi
Thanks for the follow up query.
A perforation in drum is not a fatal disease but it can lead to repeated infections which can affect hearing as well as cause symptoms like vertigo or tinnitus.
