What Causes Cramps And Bloating After Periods?

default
Posted on Mon, 8 Dec 2014
Question: It has been about 4 days since my period ended and I am having pretty bad cramps along with bloating. My lower back sometimes hurts and the area around my ovaries is very warm. How long will this last? :(

Btw my period was about 3 weeks late which was really weird.

Brief Answer:
It can be due to ovarian cyst.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

Your symptoms can be due to ovarian cyst, PCOD, hormonal imbalance, endometriosis, UTI, infection etc.

Before giving my opinion to you I want to ask a few questions from you.

Are you burning micturation or increased frequency?

Any vaginal discharge?

Diarrhea or constipation and vomiting?

You did your home urine pregnancy test? (Your period is 3weeks later and if you are sexually active it is very important to rule out pregnancy).

Please revert back to me with my answers.

Hope to hearing from you soon.

Good luck.

I am not pregrant, i went to the gyno and they performed a medical grade pregnancy test. My vaginal discharge is kind of different than normal. Maybe a little constipation.. However i really think it has something to do with my ovaries because that is where the pain is radiating from. No burning or anything during urination either.

Hi,

Nice to hear from you again though.

It can be due to ovarian cyst, PCOD, hormonal imbalance and endometriosis.

You should confer with your treating doctor and get yourself examined and get your ultrasound pelvis and hormonal test done to rule out the cause.

Hope it is useful, please get back to me with your reports.

Hoping to hear from you soon.
