Brief Answer:
High blood pressure may be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Ringing in the ears (heartbeat sound) may be caused by vascular problems like hypertension. Other causes may include: age-related hearing loss, earwax and carotid atherosclerosis. Also thyroid dysfunction and medications like aspirin, ibuprofen or antidepressants may be the reason.

Sometimes it is very hard to find the reason.

If you have blood pressure monitor I suggest you to monitor your blood pressure at home. If not visit your doctor so that he or she will check your blood pressure.

Also you should:
1. See a hearing professional for a hearing exam,
2. Get a blood test to measure TSH, T4, T3 levels to check your thyroid gland.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
