Brief Answer:
It could be Gastritis or Pancreatitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
1. Since when have you noticed this pain?
2. Have you got it checked by any Doctor?
3. Are you on medication for any other problems?
4. Are your motions normal? Any nausea/ vomiting?
At the outset a few possibilities come to mind - Gastritis, Pancreatitis, Gall bladder stones and other GI issues.
I suggest you see your GP or Surgeon who can examine you and get an Ultrasound abdomen to see what it is. This should be able to help us to home down on the organ of origin of the pain and we can take it from there. Without examining you, it is very difficult to say what it could be.
Please also tell me whether you smoke and/or consume alcohol.
So, get that done and then please do let me know so I can guide you along.
I usually advice my patients to start Tab Pantoprazole or Cap Omeprazole half an hour before breakfast to settle increased gastric acid. This might help.
Take care and looking forward to hearing from you.

Brief Answer:
That is good. Probably musculoskeletal then.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
I would then presume that the answer to all other questions asked would be that you do not have any other problems.
Also the fact that you are getting relief with Aleeve and heating pad suggests its a muscle sprain or pull. As this medicine is a NSAID and relieves such pains.
Anyway, I would still suggest to get it evaluated if the pain comes again and troubles you. Ultrasound would be important to visualize the intra-abdominal organs and see whether all is ok.
Take care,
