What Causes Cold And High Body Temperature In An Infant?

Question: My 4 year old child was sleeping covered in sweat she did have 4 blankets on and cooled off after i removed them. She ate normal and seems to be sleeping fine. Was she just hot?

Can understand your concerns.

Perhaps yes; this could have happened due to fever.
Whenever there is fever, our body temperature increases than the environmental temperature and as a result we feel cold and try to cover with more blankets.
Once fever goes, there is sweating as we are in warm blankets which are actually not required.
I suggest you to give paracetamol syrup if next time same thing happens.
